Sunatimes: Dijbouti: The president of Palestine Mohamud Abbas met with his Djiboutian counterpart in Djibouti yesterday. The two presidents met when Mohamud Abass has arrived at the horn African country for the first time.
The two leaders held discussions on the relationship between their countries, the affairs of the Arab league and the Middle East. President Abass thanked President Ismail Omar Guele for his involvement in peace processes in Somalia and his interest in the Middle East matters and on goings.
After their meeting, Presidnet Abass has layed the foundation stone for the Palestinian embassy in Djibouti meaning the two countries will engage in many activities that will allow them strengthen their relationship.
It is the first time president Abaas has visited the Horn of African nation. However, former Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat has visited Djibouti in 1984.
