This is the first time such vessels to arrive in the area since the fall of Al-Shabaab rule in Kismayo later last September.
Two vessels from Mogadishu docket at the port of kismayo and are now being offloaded.
Omar Ali Yussuf, the head of a local aid agency, Yeglel, told radio Mogadishu that the relief food was donated by an aid agency through the national disaster management.
He said they intend to start distributing these relief foods once it has been offloaded from the vessels.
