Reports say several trucks were seen stuck in the muddy and flooded roads between El-wak and Bardera and that of between El-wak and Dhobley.
El-wak district commissioner Ibrahim Guled Adan said roads in the region needs immediate reconstruction in order to avoid similar scenario in the near future.
Reports added that food prices have already skyrocketed in most parts of the region due to the rains.

Torrential rains pondering parts of Gedo region have wreaked havoc and caused infrastructure damages, with reports of motorist stranded in some areas after roads were rendered impassable.
