The victims, four Somalis and two Ethiopians sustained the injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road at Wa’iye settlement.
The injured people were rushed to a hospital in Bosaso for treatment.
The area Chief, Abdisalan Bashir Abdi said there has been an increase in cases of road accidents in the region since last Friday.
He said over seven cases have been reported since that day, adding they have banned movement of vehicles during night hours.
Although the exact cause of the accident still remains unknown, some locals blame inexperience young drivers who sometimes over speed when the vehicles are sometimes over loaded.

Six injured in grisly road accident in Bosaso
At least six people were injured in a fatal road accident at an area along the road between Bosaso and Qardo, reports say.
