A superior military commander of the Somali Military was killed in the most recent combating between the government armed forces and Al-shabab fighters which happened on Sunday in Lower Shabelle region neighbors to Mogadishu the capital of Somalia, an official said.

General Mohamed Ibrahim Farah better known as (Gordan), chief officer of the military’s fifth sector was snuff out in an ambush attack by Al shabab militants at El Waregow area close to the port city of Marko, some 100 Km south of Mogadishu.

The assault was said to be fiercest since the linked forces stirred in the region two months ago as the rival sides used heavy weapons during the fatal ambush attack on Govt. military convoy by the insurgents.

Alshabaab did not still commented about the death to the General.
