The victim only identified as Mika’il was attacked by gunmen and shot him on the head before fleeing on foot, according eyewitnesses account.
It is not yet known the reason behind the killing. Mika’il was said to be an electrician who used to repair televisions.
It is also not known whether government forces made any arrests following a search operation they conducted near the scene of the crime shortly after the incident.
No group has claimed responsibility of the attack.
In August this year, Somali government forces backed by the African Union (AU) peacekeeping troops sized Marka from Al-Shabaab militants who have been controlling it since 2008.
The port town had been a key revenue earner for the militant group which has links to the Al- Qaeda network.

Gangs kill electrician in Marka, Lower Shabelle
Reports from Marka town of Lower Shabelle region say unidentified gunmen shot and killed a local electrician on Saturday night under unknown circumstances.
