I am writing in response to Mohamed Kahin’s claims, xabaalo wadareedyada la helay may ahayn mid Somaliyeed ee waa wax cid gaar ah loogu talo-galay” released on Boramanews, October 18,2012,

To start, Kahin’s callous call mean nothing, but only a renewal of the old cover up ruling gang strategies. The aim is to turn the people’s attention to somwhere from the fast growing Habarjeclo daynasty by beating the fake old drums....enemies, tribes, we....we...are the only. Here are only a few:

- Habarjeclo warlords transfer millions of dollars to overseas banks by imposing fake Somaliland shilling in the local money markets.

- Almost all private profitable financial institutions are exclusively for the Siilaanyo team, in Hargeisa, Berbera, Burao and surprisingly Tugwajale, far away.

- All international aided public ( governental) projects go under the direct supervision of the presidency, Siilaanyo and his close associates.

- Hirsi is the only man who has the power to pocket hundreds of thounds of dollars from Berbera port authourities. He distributes to further their maintain power.

The common voices repeat how this peace was reached (sidii nabaddna lagu keenay). Where is peace when people live as destitues in their own country? Kahin is blaming a dead man and a dead administration. Somalis have come through a long journey of troubles and wars and many of us including Mohamed Kahin were part of that.
Mohamed Kahin was one of the commanders of SNM and now member in the corrupt administration of Silaanyo. He and many others were those who massacred the innocent civilians of Awdal people. The death, the rape and the destruction of Awdal populations by Mohamed kahin and his SNM henchmen are long forgiven in the so-called peace and reconciliation conference in Borama in 1993.

Awadalins relieved men like Mohamed kahin, Muse Biixi and Siilaanyo himself. If these men have any human morals,values and reasoning, they should not have raised these issues today but, instead, lived in the demons of shame and guilt. To the surprise of many, they continue to blame the dead leaders and the dead administration of Siyad Barre. That attitude is non-Muslim, inhuman, arrogant, ignorant and unhealthy. Only insane people seek revenge from the deceased and blame bones in graves.

The true irony here is that, in the eyes of many people, the shamed living like Mr. Kahin are cursing other likes who exist as bones in the sand when the two shared the same crime. But only in different commands. One by rebel militia name and the other by the name of a government. Can that make a difference? NO. Not all. Kahin called himself Mujahid
After so much suffering in a quarter of a century, Somali leaders were supposed to make their endeavor to a qualitrative difference to society, by reawakening the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood on the basis of a common humanity. That would have brought the people together as one collective soul with life for all.
Commander Kahin and his team could have a better life and out of the dirts but the question is, did they ever tried a way out?. That requires real sacrifices and courage. Do they have the courage to be strong, wise and out of the murky way? For sure this is not working and there is a better way for the people of that region.
