During his stay in Kampala, president Mohamud is expected to hold separate meetings with Ugandan government officials including President Yoweri Museveni.
President Mohamud is scheduled to return to the country immediately after the Ugandan celebration.
The president’s trip to Kampala marks his first foreign trip since he was voted in early last month.
Last Tuesday, Ugandan Information and guidance Minister Karooro Okurut told reporters in Kampala that president Mohamud is among world leaders who confirmed their attendance.
The newly elected president of Egypt Mohamed Morsi will also be among other heads of States attending the Jubilee fete in Kampala in the next few days.
Over 10 international organizations including the United Nations, World Bank, the Commonwealth, European Union, African Development Bank, Aga Khan Development Network and East African Community- among others will grace the occasion.

President Mohamud travels to Kampala to attend Uganda’s golden jubilee fete
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday travelled to Ugandan capital, Kampala, to attend the forthcoming Uganda’s golden Jubilee where over 14 other heads of States have confirmed attendance.
