During the meeting which was held in the presidential palace, the three principals and the MPs discussed the approach towards formation of a new cabinet that will be accepted by all Somalis.
Speaking at the meeting, president Mohamud stated the need for consultations in every step the government has to take in order to win public support.
He urged the MPs to share their ideas regarding the formation of the new cabinet in order to steer the country into the right path.
The PM designate Abdi Farah Shirdon on his part said the meeting was part of his efforts to consult relevant bodies before forming his cabinet in the next few days.
Speaker Jawari appealed to the MPs to share their views on the proposed cabinet with the Prime Minister who is seeking their advice and guidance on this issue.
The MPs said the ultimate decision on the issue lies with the PM and welcomed the consultations he sought from them.
