During the meeting the president and the Indian envoy to Somalia discussed range of issues including strengthening of bilateral relationship between the two countries, trade, rebuilding Somalia and security issues.

Tripathia congratulated the president and his newly appointed Prime Minister for their new positions in the country which has been hit by decades of lawlessness.
