In a press statement from Garowe, Puntland said it will work with the new government depending on how it handles matters related to the Federal Constitution and Federalism in the country.

The statement signed by Information Minister Mohamoud Aideed Ilka-Hanaf said the Puntland administration has been in the lead in molding a Federal Somalia, implementation of the Roadmap, adoption of the new constitution and ending the transitional period.

The regional government stated its readiness to support all efforts aimed at having a federal Somalia.
