Kismayo (Sunatimes) Reports from southern Somali port city of Kismayo say foreign warplanes have just launched an aerial attack targeting rebel base inside the area airport.
Fighter jets reportedly dropped at least four bombs at the airport where the militant group is said to have a base inside the facility.
Two bombs hit inside the facility while another two slammed into an area near the airport.
It is not yet known whether the aerial attacks left any casualties. It is not yet known who carried out the alleged airstrikes.
Al-Shabaab militants use the facility as a training camp for their recruits.
The attack comes a time tension is gripping the city as clashes looms between the advancing coalition forces and the Al-Shabaab militants trying defending the city.
