Osman Libah, Spokesman of the commission who spoke to Sunatimes said the application process which they opened today is set to end on 6^thday of September.

The Election Commission will be working from 9:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M to collect applications from presidential candidates.

Meanwhile, the election commission added another presidential candidate requirement which compels all aspirants to either have a Somali passport or birth certificate.

Moreover, a recommendation of 20 MPs is needed of the presidential aspirant for him/her to run for the presidency.

The names of the recommenders are anticipated to be privately kept by the presidential election commission.
