Somaliland: a health care worker who needs health care

It was only few weeks away when Adna describd the southern Somalis murderers and killers. How can any sane person put this collective accusation to the whole population of the south who were themselsves victims of repressive system of governance.

It was only few weeks away when Adna describd the southern Somalis murderers and killers. How can any sane person put this collective accusation to the whole population of the south who were themselsves victims of repressive system of governance.

Mogadishu (Sunatimes) To start, Adna is not a doctor but she is a nurse by profession. In the light of her way of outlook of life and humanity, giving her the title of a medical doctor is a travesty to that discipline.

Any health care worker prescribes regiments for the good of all people according to his/her ability and judgement and never harms anyone either emotionally or physically.

When providing the basic practices in health care, one gets a taste of what that might feel like. At some level, there is always a sense, the motive and the goal that your work will touch someone’s life.

Any cultured, educated and civilised health professional should undersand the challenges of providing care to the disaffiliated and diverse cultures and cases. It is generally believed that prosocial behaviour is stimulated by one’s sense of self, morality and connectedness to others.

In her general view of world outlook, Adna doesnt seem to have the least idea of what health care ethics is and what role should an educated individual take in his society.

She was once married to Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Egal, one of the greatest politicians in Somalia. God bless his soul. He was a man with vision for all his people but she learned nothing from him.

Again she repeated the shame, when she said, MO Faraha is not Somali but Isaaq and Jibril abokor. What al little mind!!!. Somalis had lots to pride with and not with one achievement. There are and there were hundreds of athelets and Olympians.

The other question is: what mandate does she has to speak for the young man whose acheivement was celebarated by all black race, the British Public and most importantly by all somalis everywhere. He will definitely prefer to be international sportsman and not be chained in the enclave of Isaaq somaliland with Adna as his auntie

Somalis everywhere are in the process to forget the past and start new life. if we continue to complain from one another, it will continure forever and everyone is still and was part of the problem. Did Adna ask herself, why her SNM massacred Awdal civilians. NO. Never and none in her enclave will ever acknowledge. So what is the point of pointing finger at each other?

Health care professional is neither a tribalist nor a politician. Health care ethics requires presenting views based on a reasoned and justifiable argument and on facts and experiences of reasonable professionals. In any community, raising awareness of the moral dimension on actions and building a commitment to arrive at the best moral decision is essential. Health care ethics strives to draw attention to the broad area in order to contribute to the improvement of all. In that case, Adna is an affront to the culture of health care.

If Adna does not want to be somali, Somalis can do without her old fashioned mind and as the somali adage goes, we will lose nothing if she goes, Nin shir ka duday (baxay) siiga yaraa.
