Forty-eight hours after his arrest, Houssein Ahmed Farah still held incommunicado

Reporters Without Borders called on Interior Minister Hassan Darar Houffaneh, and Justice Minister, Ali Farah Assoweh, to provide immediate news correspondent for Voice of Djibouti, Farah, and an explanation as to his arrest.

"According to our information, Houssein Ahmed Farah is still at police headquarters in Djibouti, where it is forbidden to visit. No reason has yet been advanced for his detention. Forty-eight hours after his arrest already, it is intolerable to remain without no news of this journalist, "the organization said, reiterating his concern for his health.
Houssein Ahmed Farah was arrested Aug. 8, 2012, around 11:00, Djibouti city, by two police officers, Colonel Ibrahim Abdoulkader Gona and Colonel Abdillahi Hassan Boulaleh. More information: http://fr.rsf.org/djibouti-un-correspondant-de-la-voix-de-08-08-2012, 43187.html.
Reporters Without Borders has learned that the Djibouti authorities were blocking access to five Somali news websites: waagacusub.com, sunatimes.com, galmudugnews.com, halbeegnews.com and qurbejoog.com.
Waagacusub.com had recently published secret documents about money transfers between intelligence officials of Djibouti and Somaliland's self-proclaimed state and neighboring Djibouti.
This is not the first time that Djibouti blocks access to Internet news sites. And the Voice of Djibouti (lavoixdedjibouti.com), which collaborates Farah, is inaccessible in the country. To circumvent censorship imposed by the authorities, Reporters Without Borders has created a mirror site (lavoixdedjibouti.rsf.org) which now allows users to consult Djibouti. Voice of Djibouti has recently published some secret documents revealed by Waagacusub.com.
