The main player who supervises the take over is the governor of the Djibouti Central Bank Jama Hayd. Documents obtained by Waagacusub.com reveal that the governor paid huge amount of money to the chairman of Somaliland’s council od representatives Mr. Abdirahman Irroh, who hails from the same tribe of the Djiboutian first lady.

Djibouti (Sunatimes) A year long investigation revealed that 50% of Somaliland’s top officials posses and use passport of the Republic of Djibouti. Most of the intelligence officials, Ministers, MPs, traditional elders,

journalists prominent businessmen of Somaliland use this passport.

Djibouti intelligence official who wants to remain anonymous told
waagacusub that these passports are subject of renewal once in every
three years. He added that president Ismael Omar Ghuelleh authorized
issuance of the passports, but declined to comment further.

Djibouti opposition groups express frustration in the authorization of
the Djiboutian passport to the Somali citizens with close business,
political and intelligence ties with President Ghuelleh.

Among those who use Djiboutian passport are Somaliland’s interior
affairs minister Mohamed Arraleh Nur aka Duurjaan, and presidential
spokesman Abdullahi Ukuseh. Both of them are believed to be members
of the Djiboutian intelligence.

Findings shed some light on what is widely thought to be systematic
take over of Djibouti over Somaliland. The main player who supervises
the take over is the governor of the Djibouti Central Bank Jama Hayd.
Documents obtained by Waagacusub.com reveal that the governor paid
huge amount of money to the chairman of Somaliland’s council od
representatives Mr. Abdirahman Irroh, who hails from the same tribe of
the Djiboutian first lady.

Furthermore, Djibouti is able to restrict the internet communication
in Somaliland from the local service providers such as Telesom and
Somtel. A memo issued by the government of Djibouti ordered Telesom
ISP to block such websites as waagacusub.com, sunatimes.com,
galmudugnews.com, halbeegnews.com, and qurbejoog.com.

“Our main service provider sent us the memo, and threatened to cut off
both the internet and telephone lines from Somaliland to the world if
we don’t block the websites that have been mentioned such as
waagacusub.com” one of Telesom staff. said. Waagacusub.com published
secret documents about money being sent to Somaliland officials by the
intelligence of Djibouti.

Djibouti is the headquarters of the company that provides internet and
telecommunication services to Telesom and Somtel. Associated Somali
Journalists (ASOJ) condemned the block of the websites by the
government of Ghuelleh. This makes the president a mere African/arab
dictator. He previously was a spy trained in Somalia and France.
A good number of well known artists, journalists, and businessmen fled
the country due to tyranny and intimidation. Some of those include
Nimo Jama, Hassan Waddo, Awaleh Adan whose songs cannot be viewed on
the internet in Djibouti No opposition can live freely in Djibouti.
Experts are keen to see the eventuality of the press freedom attack by
president Ghuelleh. They believe it could result public unrest, or
sour relationship with Somaliland, while others think that the
eventuality may affect the internet and telephone service provider as
a consequence.

Member of Anonymous, a group of hackers, threatened that they’ll
attack those who blocked the websites. Anonymous has a reputation of
hacking the servers of powerful countries and companies.
