    Dahabshiil Brakes silence on Hackers attack,but only in English

    The Bank seems more concerned about their International clientele rather then the thousands of Somalis who are not sure of what happened to their hard earned funds.

The Bank seems more concerned about their International clientele rather then the thousands of Somalis who are not sure of what happened to their hard earned funds.

Hargeysa(SDN)-Dahabshiil Bank which fell victim to Hacktivist group Anonymous latest attack after the the group launched what it called a war on terror campaign.

Dahabshiil Bank finally broke their silence by releasing a statement written in English leaving the majority of Somali speaking clients,perhaps by hoping that they never find out.

The Bank dismissed the Anonymous claim of hacking their servers “Following our initial investigation into the cyber-attack, we now believe that earlier reports attributing the action to a particular protest group were inaccurate and exaggerated” the Bank said in the statement.

“Our investigation is still on-going and we are therefore not yet in a position to verify the identity of those individuals behind the incident.

“Naturally we will keep all customers fully updated. Safeguarding our customers is of paramount importance to Dahabshiil and we will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that we identify those responsible”.

The Bank seems more concerned about their International clientele rather then the thousands of Somalis who are not sure of what happened to their hard earned funds.
