Ahlu Sunna’s security boss in the area Farah Mo’alim Ali told To media that their militias surrounded the town to provide maximum security and prevent any militant attacks in the area.

Ali said the visiting UN officials are today expected to hold talks with the relevant Ahlu Sunna authorities in Dusamareb.

Heavily armed Ahlu Sunna militias were reportedly seen patrolling along the main streets in the town while several others were station at all entry points on the outskirt of the town.

Authorities also barred vehicles from entering the town after dusk as part of their strategy to beef up security in the area.
