The group also discussed strategies needed to apply in wresting control of other areas in the region which still remains in the hands of Al-Shabaab militants, according to the group’s area spokesman Mohamed Hussein Issack.
Issack praised locals in the region for maintaining peace in the area and working with his group in order to avert militant activities aimed at derailing the prevailing stability in the region.
He however said participants of the meeting agreed to scale up their fight against Al-Shabaab militants in order to ouster militant administration in Bardera and Burdubo towns which are the only towns remaining in the hands of the militant group.
