The two sides discussed many issues such as security situation in the region, role of elders in the war against al-Shabaab fighters and urging the youth from joining al-Shabaab ranks.
ASWJ commander in Wahbo village, Abdishakur Abdi Hussein told Sunatimes that the two parties agreed to cooperate in all issues discussed during the meeting.
Mohamud Mohamed Ahmed, one of the elders in Wahbo also told Sunatimes that they are fully behind the points agreed during the meeting with ASWJ officials and are ready to cooperate with ASWJ in Galgadud.
ASWJ fighters have been fighting with al-Shabaab in Galgadud for the past few years.

A meeting between traditional elders and Ahlu Sunna Wal Jama officials in Wahbo village near El-Bur district in Galgadud region has been concluded.
