Eyewitnesses told Sunatimes that one of the victims in the blast was a teenage boy who was among the congregation offering Maghreb prayer in the mosque.

It is not yet clear whether the blast was a grenade attack targeted the congregation or an improvisedexplosivedevice hidden inside the mosque.

Puntland officials have not released comments regarding the incident so far and no one has claimed responsibility.
