Government and AMISOM soldiers were seen patrolling the area early hours on Wednesday where fierce clashes broke out between TFG soldiers backed by AMISOM forces and al-Shabaab militant group on Tuesday.
Government forces claimed to have defeated al-Shabaab and seized control of former al-Shabaab positions in the outskirts of the capital.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that residents flee the area in the fear of likely reoccurrence of similar clashes in the coming days.
Military officials of the TFG vowed to continue their push against the militant group in order to bring stability back to the war-stricken nation.
