    Somalia issue dominates non-aligned countries’ meeting in Egypt

    Foreign ministers from non-aligned countries meeting in Egyptian city of Sharm el Sheikh have discussed Somalia’s long sustained political stalemate as well as other pressing international issues.

Foreign ministers from non-aligned countries meeting in Egyptian city of Sharm el Sheikh have discussed Somalia’s long sustained political stalemate as well as other pressing international issues.

The meeting which brought together 120 foreign ministers and representatives from the none-aligned movement is also attended by 17 other countries and ten international organisations who are attending the meeting as guests.

During the meeting, participated noted the need to support TFG led efforts to bring together include all parties to Somalia conflict for reconciliation talks.

They also suggested that the crisis in the Horn of African nation be resolved through dialogue in order to achieve a lasting peace in the country.

The meeting also focused on current issues in Syria, Palatine, Iraq and the recent fight between Khartoum and Juba among other international issues.

The none-aligned movement is said to be the second biggest international body after the United Nations.
