The PM was accompanied by members of his cabinet ministers and the speaker of the parliament Sharif Hassan Sheikh Adan.
The PM was briefed by two committee groups tasked with the reception of the elders and security during and before the meeting.
The elders are expected to select the delegates who will adopt the proposed Somali constitutions early this month.
After the briefing, Ali visited each of the 135 en-suite rooms for the elders to assess their suitability before the arrival elders who are set to come from all sides of the country.

Ali visits proposed accommodation sites for Somali elders.
Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali on Monday visited the proposed accommodation venues for traditional elders attending the upcoming constitutional meeting in Mogadishu.
