At least two people were killed and several others were injured after local herders clashed with Al-Shabaab militant fighters on the outskirt of El-Adde settlement, Gedo region.
Reports say the clash occurred after armed herders attacked Al-Shabaab militants for allegedly confiscating their animals.
Local herders who spoke to Sunatimes claimed they managed to forcefully reclaim back their animals from the militant group after engaging fierce gun-battle with the militant fighters.
The incident comes two days after Al-Shabaab militant fighters allegedly plundered 200 goats from a prominent cleric in Rays-qode village on the outskirt of Garbaharey town.
Reports say local herders are now in control of the area where the fight took place and normalcy has now returned to the area.
