The victims are said to be both combatants from the rival pirate groups and civilians who were caught up in the cross fire.
Sheikh Mohamoud Hussein who is one of the local elders in the area told Sunatimes that the injured pirates were taken to health facilities in the notorious pirate-base of Harardere town for treatments.
Local elders are reportedly trying to bring together and mediate the two rival groups in order to avoid further escalations of deadly violence in the area.
The clash occurred after one pirate group arrived in the area where another group was pitching tents in it sparking deadly clashes in the area. The two pirate groups were said to have been in bad terms over territorial control and there difference were never solved.

Seven killed as pirates fight over territorial control in parts of Mududg region.
At least seven people have been killed and 10 others were injured after two groups of Somali pirates clashed at Daba-galo area, Mudug region, on Saturday, reports say.
