An explosion in Mogadishu on Wednesday injured five people, reports say. An explosive device detonated itself inside the pocket of a suspected attacker near Madina hospital, injuring five people including a man who was said to be in possession of the device, according Sabriye Abdullahi Adan, a TFG official in Villa Baidoa who spoke to Sunatimes.

Four other people were also injured in the explosion.

Eyewitnesses told Sunatimes that the injured people were rushed to the nearby Madina hospital for treatment.

It is not yet clear whether the bomb was intended to cause damage or not as investigations still continues.

The explosion comes a day after two were killed including a suicide bomber in south-west Somali city of Baidoa. A government solider was also killed during the Tuesday incident.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for both incidents, but suspicion is likely to fall on the Al-Qaeda allied Al-Shabaab militants who battling the Somali government.
