All those killed or injured during the clash were local herders in the area, according to Farah Mohamed, an elder in the village. He injured people were taken to health facilities in the region.
Mohamed said the clash was triggered by a clan affiliated hostilities based on murder and livestock theft which have been rampant in the area.
The two warring groups are said to be from Puntland and Galmudug. Both of the two regional administrations have not yet commented on incident that claimed the lives of four herders.
There are no reports of any mediation efforts to quell further escalation of violence in the area.

Four killed as local herders clash in Mudug region
At least four people have been killed and seven other wounded after two groups of herders clashed at Qeydarey village, some 120 kilometres from Galkayo town, Mudug region.
