Ali Abdullahi Abtidon, one of the disabled persons in Dusamareb town told Sunatimes that they are neglected a time they could not support themselves due to their physical disability.

He claimed hundreds of families with disabled persons within their family members in the region have no access to food, saying that they are not considered for relief foods distributed in the area.

He urged the Ahlu Sunna administration and the Somalis including the diaspora communities to support the disabled persons in all spheres of life including healthcare provision.

The number of disabled persons in the region is estimated to be more than 500 persons including those who were physically disabled by the two decades old conflict that ravaged the country.
