Two gangs armed with pistols reportedly attacked the duo at Laba-Dagah neighbourhood, killing one of them on the spot while the other one was injured.

The gangs immediately fled the scene of the incident, according to locals who spoke to Bar-kulan on condition of anonymity.

Government troops immediately arrived at the scene of the incident and started investigations in to the incident. But no arrests have been made so far.

The identity of the assailants and the motive behind the killing still remain unknown.

No group has claimed responsibility but suspicion is likely to fall on Al-Shabaab militants who are known for such killings.
