Galkayo (Sunatimes) Ahlusuna administration in Dusamareb town on Friday paraded ten of its militias who were allegedly arrested while engaged in criminal activities, officials say.

ASWJ officials told Bar-kulan that some of the accused were caught manning illegal roadblocks inside the town while others ambushed and robbed a pick-up truck ferrying Khat.

The officials further said their administration will not tolerate for such members of its militias robbing civilians instead of safeguarding the public and their property.

Meanwhile, ASWJ militias in Central Somalia region of Galgadud on Friday curried out security operations in parts of the region, including the districts of Dusamareb, Guri’el, Abud-wak and Mataban in the neighbouring Hiran region.

According to ASWJ administration, the operation targeted rebel linked militias hiding in parts of these districts.
