CEERIGAABO (Sunatimes) Another murder took place in Ceerigaabo, Sanaag region of Somaliland after recent mediation brought a relative stability in the eastern regions of Somaliland. There is pattern of violence or low level civil war raging in Somaliland’s East and Western sections. Maintaining the security and the stability were the first priority of the current administration since the government took over the power from Dahir Rayale Kahin in 2010.

The Ceerigabo killer, Mohamed Saleh Fuje, was arrested and expected to be brought to justice. The Ceerigaabo victim was a religious person called Hussien Dhancade. The victim was a very prominent person in the community and well known preacher (Tabliiqi).

Still the police did not elaborate the motive of the murder while the victim was very respected person and was not involved the recent tribal violence in the region; some people suggesting a tribal revenge.

The community leaders of Somaliland are calling for swift re-action and justice otherwise the relative stability and the Somaliland reputation will be seriously damaged.

The economic boom of Somaliland was the product of the stability in the country and the international aid that the country was receiving to run the nation.

Another barbaric murder took place in the border between Waqooyi Galbeed and Awdal Region of Western Somaliland and the government made some arrested as well detaining prominent elders and well known violence advocates, but nobody knowns what government’s next step will be in solving this barbaric attack. This kind of cold bloody attack took place in 2009 and the previous administration fail to solve that homicide while there were well founded reasons why Rayale could not solve the crime — some experts are saying that president Silanyo has the ability of solving both crimes if he decides.

Political commentators are suggesting that is up to the current administration with the help of Hargeisa people what they do in restoring the triple AAA peace and stability status of Somaliland.
