Den haag (Sunatimes) Dutch parliament has yesterday called its government to reduce the consumption of miraa in Netherlands where the Somali people living there consume the narcotic sticks in large scale.

CDA, a centre right Christian democratic party has proposed a miraa-reduction strategy in Netherlands come 2012 to reduce consumption of the drug that forced many Somali people out of work.

Most of the jobless people in the European nation of Netherlands depend on meagre welfare incomes provided by the Dutch government .

CDA is currently bringing out the pressing problems associated with the drug to the Somali community in the Dutch, which was previously highlighted by Dalmar foundation before the Dutch parliament.
