Nairobi (Sunatimes) The Kenyan military have yesterday
revealed that they have strengthened their military activities against the
al-Qaeda linked Shabaab militias inside Somalia for the last five days.
Colonel Cyrus Oguna of the Department of Defence of
Kenya said that their forces have challenged Al -Shabaab, the Al-Qaeda
surrogate in Somalia.
The colonel added that the Kenyan forces are hugely benefiting from information and intelligence they are receiving from the people liberated from the Al Shabaab militias.
Oguna said that Kenyan military forces killed 28
Shabaab militias in a raid they waged at Busar area in Gedo region and Sinay
location where the militants were staying.
The Kenyan military colonel exposed that they have lost
eight soldiers since they entered Somalia where he declared that four of the
forces died in a helicopter clash in Liboi.
There are no neutral sources that can be confirmed from
the claims of the Kenyan colonel.
