Jowhar (Sunatimes) Shabaab militias in jowhar have looted 75 sacks of maize from a businesswomen operating in jowhar commercial market. Central Somalia.

The Shabaab militants In South Somalia have forcefully taken over the sacks of maize from the women claiming that the maize was owned by WFP as the stickers had WFP seals.

Shabaab militants previously denied locals to sell and consume WFP products as the militants banned WFP from Somalia.

The woman who spoke to bar-kulan said that her efforts to regain the sacks bore no fruits as she was warned of such activities.

The militants have continuously denied locals to access food aid after they were harshly hit by perennial droughts in the war-torn Somali nation.
