Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Djiboutian government on
Sunday delivered a much needed humanitarian aid to the drought and
famine-struck Somalia, where millions of people are said to be in need of
assistance.
Djibouti ambassador to Somalia Dayib Dubad Roble
officially handed over 10 tonnes of medical aid and an ambulance to the Somali
government at Mogadishu Port.
The Somali Prime Minister Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed
Ali led a group of government officials in receiving the aid.
Somali trade and industries Minister Abdiwahab
Ugas Hussein immediately handed over the Djiboutian aid to the government
disaster response agency for distributions.
Earlier on August, Djibouti president Ismail Omar
Guelleh who visited the Somali capital, Mogadishu, donated over 13 tonnes of
medical aid and 27,000 sacks of nutritious supplies for the severely
malnourished children in Mogadishu refugee camps.
