Mogadishu (Sunatimes) A Somali
parliamentarian was on Friday injured by a roadside bomb that targeted his
luxury car traveling through a neighborhood in the capital city, Mogadishu,
reports say.
Mohamed Ana Nug lost one of his legs in the
explosion and was immediately rushed to a local hospital nearby for urgent
treatment.
A relative told the media that the MP is in
critical condition and appealed to the Somali government to act quickly to take
him abroad for treatment.
Government soldiers reached the scene and started
search operations. No arrests were so far reported.
So fat there are no group that has claimed
responsibility of the explosion which is the second attack in less than two
weeks.
Somali Prime Minister Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali
has condemned the attack.
