Mogadishu (Sunatimes) Burundian defence minister
MajGeneral Pontien Gaciyubwenge has on Sunday arrived in Mogadishu, where he
met Somali Prime Minister Abdiweli Mohamed Ali.
The visiting Burundian minister was received by
TFG ministers and AMISOM senior officers in the capital, Mogadishu.
The two leaders discussed several issues
including the way in which Burundi can deploy extra troops in Somalia to boost
the AU personnel in the country.
The Burundian minister’s trip to Somalia is aimed
at overseeing African Union peacekeepers in Somalia and showing his
government’s commitment in supporting their operations.
Gaciyubwenge is expected to meet AMISOM officials
in the capital, Mogadishu.
