Sunatimes(Mogadishu) Somalia’s TFG and Galmudug regional state has on Sunday signed a historic mutual collaboration agreement.

The two signed the deal following the earlier visit to region by the Somalia’s Prime Minister Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali on August30, 2011.

A signed copy of agreement bearing the signature of both Somalia’s Prime Minister Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali and Galmudug president Mohamed Ahmed Alin stated that both parties agreed on eight point plan in strengthening the relations, including safeguarding the unity of the Somali people and working relations between the two administrations.

In the agreement, the FTG was held responsible of supporting the regional administration on security, trainings, restructuring of Galmudug administration.

The TFG was also mandated to foot for funds aimed at reconciling different clans in Galmudug that have recently joined the administration.

They also agreed on fair distribution of relief aids for all regions and Galmudug bound aid vessels to dock in Hobyo port to reach to needy people in the region.

Both the TFG and Galmudug jointly appealed for immediate humanitarian aid for drought and famine-hit population in Galmudug.They also agreed that TFG to fair allocation of developmental grunts for all regions including Galmudug.

The signing of the agreements between the two comes two weeks after the TFG signed similar agreements with Somalia’s brake away region of Puntland in efforts to defuse tension between the two.
