Galkao (Sunatimes) Technical training graduates pose for a joint photo after receiving certificates in Galkayo, Mudug region.Over hundred students received certificates of completion after completing a six month course of technical training and Office administration in Galkayo, the capital of Mudug region.

The successfully completed a six month courses of Computer literacy – Software and Hardware, Office administration and secretarial, Mobile repairing, Plumbing, Garment making (Tailoring).

The programme was funded by Mudug Peace and Human Development Organization (MPHDO) through Somali youth Livelihood Programme.

MPHDO deputy director Mr. Abdi Hassan Jama who is also the implementing officer of the Somali youth Livelihood Programme said they have already secured internships for the young graduates.

He said his organisation has already received commitment letters from private business companies and aid agencies in the area including local and International NGOs to consider the youths for internship and for future employment.

Regional vice president Abdisamad Noor Guled who spoke during the graduation ceremony said that Galmudug administration welcomes the MPHDO initiative.

He urged other partner organisations in the region to continue offering such courses to the local youths.
