Baidoa (Sunatimes) Drought and famine-struck Somali people out side their makeshift houses At least 682 drought and famine displaced families camping in refugee camp in Baidoa town of Bay region Somalia has received financial aid from local aid agency.
Review and Migler Development handed over $ 6,000 to area drought response committee for distributions to the needy people.
Mahad Abdikarin Ismail, one of the local beneficiaries thanked the donor agency and the local committee who fairly distributed the aid.
He urged the United Nations and local aid agencies to come to their rescue as they face the worst humanitarian crisis in the region, saying that they risk starving to death.
The city who houses thousands of drought and famine-struck families has in the recent days saw a good number of humanitarian aids reaching to the needy people.
