MOGADISHU (Sunatimes) -Despite the Somalia’s Al-Qaeda linked group Al-Shabaab withdrew its forces from the capital Mogadishu, they show signs to still remain in the city after more than 10 people were seen their heads cut and lying on the streets within one months.

The people who already return to their destroyed houses grew concerns over the terror acts, according to the locals. This shows that Mogadishu is not yet safe to live.

“We are infact very worried about what is going on right now in Mogadishu. For the past two weeks, we have seen on the streets slaughtered men some of them with their heads cut. We don’t know who was behind this, but we suspect the fighters of Al-Shabaab.”Omar Ali told Sunatimes. “We can no longer stay here. We have to go back to our displaced camps.”

Some of the ordinary people believe that Al-Shabaab did not withdraw the capital but changed their dress and fighting will continue as it happened during the occupation of the Ethiopian troops in Somalia 2007 to 2008.

“The war that based on hit and run attacks is worse than the face to face battle because you don’t know in which direction your enemy is.” A local journalist said.

Al-Shabaab, which recently loses large parts of the capital in heavy fighting with the government troops supported by African peacekeeping units, declared that they have changed their tactics of war into guerilla war waging hit and run attacks on the bases of rival forces.
