Djibouti
(Sunatimes) Medical aid from France has on Wednesday arrived in Djibouti to
help drought stricken population in the country.
A
French cargo flight carrying 20-tonnes of medical consignment for malnourished
children in the Horn of African country landed at Djibouti airport on
Wednesday.
Receiving
the consignment from French health ministry officials, Djiboutian Ministry of
Health Secretary General, Salah Uneif, said the French aid will help them
tackle drought and malnutrition related complications among children from pastoralist
communities in the country who are bearing the brunt of severe drought in the
Horn of African nation.
France
ambassador to Djibouti said this medical aid consignment from his government is
the first in series of humanitarian aid aimed at dealing with drought and
famine situation in the Horn of African countries.

France ambassador to Djibouti said this medical aid consignment from his government
