Baydhabo (Sunatimes) Tension is reportedly high in pockets of Bay and Bakol regions, as fighting TFG troops and Al-Shabaab militia looms in the area.

Reports say government troops and Al-Shabaab militia fighters are building up troops in preparation of imminent fight between them over the control of Bohol Bashir, Yurkut and Elbon areas, all in Bay and Bakol regions, southern Somalia.

The tension escalated following reports suggesting that government troops in Luq town are making military maneuvers against Al-Shabaab militia group in those areas, heightening trepidation among the locals in the area.

Reports from the area say locals are fleeing the homes, fearing possible beak out of deadly clashes between the two warring sides in the next few days.

Meanwhile fighting has been reported on Tuesday night in Luq Ganane area in Gedo region, southwest Somalia.
