London (Sunatimes)
UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron, has sent his best wishes to all Muslim
communities in Britain and around the world at the start of the month of
Ramadan.
In a press
release, Mr Cameron said Ramadan is a time to remind people their duties and
responsibilities and the importance of charity.
The premier urged
Muslims all over the world to put aside thoughts of themselves, and think of
others during this month of Ramadan.
The Prime Minister
noted the terrible scenes of famine and suffering in the Horn of Africa, saying
it reminds them of their duties and responsibilities to those beyond their
shores.
Mr Cameron said
the importance of charity at this time is clear and he is proud of many
different communities in the United Kingdom continuing to come together to
support millions of people who are in desperate need.
