Mogadishu
(Sunatimes) An out break of diseases is reported in Al-Kharas refugee
camp in Yemen, where hundreds of thousands of Somali refugees and asylum
seekers are desperately camping after fleeing their country.
Chairman of the Somali elders in the
camp, Osman Deman, told Bar-kulan that several people, especially children who
have been relocated from Sana’a to Al-Kharas refugee camp succumbed to diseases
like measles, which is becoming a life threatening disease among the children
in the camp.
The chairman also noted that people
moved from Sana’a could not stay in their new camp due to hot temperature and
harsh weather condition in Al-Kharas camp, making live impossible in the camp.
Aid agencies working in the camp said
they will improve health and the living conditions of Somali refugee living in
Al-Kharas camp.
