Mogadishu (Sunatimes) A huge fire has on Wednesday erupted in a petrol station-cum, in Elasha Biyaha area at the outskirt of Mogadishu.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

The blaze which erupted near a remittance facility, Dahabshil, has destroyed unaccounted property inside three stores, restaurant and the gas-station-cum in the area. Several people gathered in the area to put out the inferno.

Reports from the area suggest that plume of black smoke and a raging blaze could be seen in far area around Elasha Biyaha area.

Both Public and private transport services along the route between Afgoye and Mogadishu has been hampered due to the incident.

Reports also say a Fire fighter owned by a Telecommunication company, Hormud, has arrived at the scene but still could not put out the blaze.
