Gedo (Sunatimes) Four people were seriously wounded when
Al-Shabaab militia attacked police station in Beled-Hawo town of Gedo region on
Saturday night.
TFG’s area district commissioner, Mohamud Ahmed, told Bar-kulan,
that their security personnel in the station at the time of the attack repulsed
Al-Shabaab militias who attacked their base on Saturday night, citing no
casualties on their side apart from a prisoner in the police cell who sustained
injuries during the foiled attack.
The DC also said three of the militias were seriously wounded
during the midnight attack.
The situation in Beled-Hawo has returned to normalcy, with public
transport, schools and other activities in the town operating normal after the
Al-Shabaab’s hit and run midnight attack on a police station in the area.
