Gakayo (Sunatimes) Reports from Galkayo town in Mudug region say clan affiliated clash has once again erupted in the trouble-hit Deg-tur area, 100 KM from Galkayo town.

So far, there are no exact figures of casualties due to poor communication lines in the area but reports say there has been a deadly clash between two rival clan militias in the area.

Muslim clerics and elders in the region have been in the last few days trying to mediate the warring clans but their efforts ended in vain.

Deg-tur has been hit by waves of clan affiliated clashes between rival clan militias fighting over grazing land in which several people have been killed and scores other wounded, with people now fleeing their homes.
