Mogadishu (Sunatimes) United Kingdom Foreign
Office has warned that there was a ''high threat'' of attacks in countries
including Somalia, Yemen, Egypt and generally the Middle East.
The move came shortly after the State Department
issued guidance urging Americans to be vigilant when visiting Europe,
highlighting the ''potential for terrorists to attack public transportation
systems and other tourist infrastructure''.
The Foreign Office advice now states: "Like
other large European countries, the French/German authorities continue to
consider that there is a high threat of terrorism.
"Attacks could be indiscriminate, including
in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travelers."
Really, they certainly are targeted attacks:
Targets will be chosen for maximum casualties, chaos, and disruption of lives
and of the economy, to give the impression that no one is safe anywhere. Above
all, the targets will be non-Muslims and their un-Islamic governments. Those
are the heart of the matter.
Authorities must also consider that first
responders will be targeted in a second wave, as we have seen in many other
jihadist attacks.
The terrorist alert comes days after the new
al-Qaida boss, Ayman alzawaahiri threatened to attack the western Nations
including the United States and Israel.
The main threat in Somalia towards UK citizens in
the alshabab insurgents which just like al-Qaida declared a holy war against
the western nations.
